The Jahalin Communities Milk Pasteurization Center, an initiative of the Friends of Jahalin, is underway!

Hebrew Studies Project

The Hebrew language is a vital resource, through which we can help the tribe's sons and daughters exercise their rights, acquire an education, and use it in employment and tourism. Removing the language barrier allows them to conduct themselves more independently in the space.

Tourism development

Developing tourism among the Jahalin communities in the northern Judean Desert is an engine for changing the image, for growth, for improving the economic situation, and for creating familiarity and connections with the tribe.

Friends of the Jahlin work to reduce violence and violations of Bedouin rights through a protective presence.

Establishing vegetable and ornamental gardens for family consumption

Family Ties Project

A project that connects a Bedouin family from the Jahalin community in the Judean Desert with an Israeli family. Its goal is to maintain a direct and unmediated channel of communication, and for each party to get to know the other in a friendly and pleasant way.

Tours and lectures

Friends of the Jahalin offer lectures to various bodies, in institutions or in the field with host families, with the goal of raising awareness about the situation of the Jahalin tribal communities in the northern Judean Desert and promoting equal rights for them.

Finding sources of income

Finding employment for the Jahalin people who suffer from unemployment of up to 70%, assistance in issuing work permits, as well as providing various trainings and supporting initiatives by the tribe.

The Honey Wives of Jahlin

The Honey Women of the Jahlin - 10 women of the tribe learned to raise bees and now make honey and wax candles for a living.
