Traditional Bedouin cooking and a workshop for making stuffed animals

During the Hanukkah holiday, Fatma Jahalin, one of the Bedouin women who live near Khan Al Ahmar, invites you to a workshop on Bedouin stuffing and food. At the end you will have a meal together in her "restaurant" which is actually a simple and beautiful shed named after her little daughter "Jnan".

We got to know Fatma and Janan while the "Friends of the Jahalin" accompanied them during treatment at Shaare Zedek Medical Center.

So we got to know Fatma, a devoted mother and an excellent cook. Petma, an entrepreneur by birth, decided to make a dream come true and establish a restaurant in Khan and host visitors and travelers in the area.

She is an expert in traditional Bedouin cooking and to this day dozens of groups of travelers have been hosted at the nascent restaurant for delicious and enjoyable meals.

Fatma's restaurant is an example of female empowerment and fulfillment.

In the workshop you will host, you can learn to make traditional stuffed animals and the secrets of Bedouin cooking.

The participants will also be able to try their hand at preparing and baking Bedouin pitas and enjoy the warm hospitality of the people of the Judean desert.
