Fatma Jahalin, one of the Bedouin women living near Khan al-Ahmar, invites you to her home for a workshop on stuffed animals and vegan Bedouin food. At the end, she will host a joint meal in her "restaurant," which is named after her little daughter, "Jenan." We met Fatma and Janan while "Friends of Jahalin" accompanied them during treatment at Shaare Zedek Medical Center. That's when we got to know Fatma, a devoted mother and an excellent cook. Fatma, an entrepreneur by birth, decided to fulfill a dream and establish a restaurant in Khan and host visitors and travelers in the area. She is an expert in traditional Bedouin cooking, and to date, dozens of groups of travelers have been hosted at the emerging restaurant for delicious and enjoyable meals. Fatma's restaurant is an example of female empowerment and fulfillment. In the workshop she will host, you can learn to prepare traditional stuffed meats and the secrets of Bedouin cooking. Participants will also be able to experiment with preparing and baking Bedouin pitas and enjoy the warm hospitality of the people of the Judean Desert.
