Solidarity and Hope Event – Supporting the Residents of Khan Al Ahmar
Join us in showing solidarity and support for the residents of Khan Al Ahmar during these uncertain times as they await a decision regarding their fate. By mid-July, the state will respond to petitions from extreme right-wing groups seeking the eviction of Khan Al Ahmar and the destruction of its school.
Khan Al Ahmar is home to around thirty Bedouin families from the Jahalin tribe, predating the establishment of nearby Israeli settlements. These families have lived amidst uncertainty and the constant threat of deportation for many years.
We invite you to stand with them in solidarity and hope, demonstrating that there is widespread support for peaceful coexistence and the preservation of Bedouin traditions, including sheep herding. Join us for an event where we will strengthen the community through various activities, including showcasing beautiful dolls crafted by Jahalin women as part of a female empowerment project, traditional cooking, and a shared meal.
Your presence at this event will not only provide much-needed support to the families of Khan Al Ahmar but also affirm the values of compassion, solidarity, and respect for cultural heritage. We look forward to seeing you there!
