The Honey Women
A joint initiative of the "Friends of the Jahlin" and Bees for Peace, the "Honey Women of the Jahlin" group was established - a groundbreaking project that allows the women of the Jahlin to be independent beekeepers, alongside their home and family. 10 women of the tribe set up beehives, grow nectar plants in the desert soil, learn new terms and together discover the wonderful world of bees, responsibility and community.
The dream that grew out of the humble life of the desert has become a reality, and already this year the women have collected high-quality honey and learned to make spectacular candles from the wax.
The growing method is biodynamic, without chemicals and without manipulation, as nature intended and the honey is organic honey and unique in its taste. The first supply of honey was offered for sale at the Rosh Hashanah Fair 2025 and was a great success.
The cost of setting up a hive is approximately 1,500 NIS, and it can generate another source of income for the tribe. Your donation will help this important project and allow them to live with dignity.
