The tour was conducted by guide Yael Moab.

Description of the event from Yael's column:

On the sides of Highway 1 that descends from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea, Bedouin communities live in poor shacks. All communities are in danger of destruction and deportation. In December, the community of the Kaaba near Mitzpe Jericho was saved from deportation thanks to the activities of the "Friends of the Gahlin" group, a group whose members are residents of Kfar Adumim and activists from Jerusalem, a group of which I am proud to be a member.

On the tour we will visit some of the communities, meet residents and hear their voices and finish with a great meal at Fatma's house (Husha) in the community of Juma'a al Halwa (the beautiful community) which is located in front of Khan al Ahmar.

Traveling in private vehicles also on dirt roads - comfort, there is an easy walk of about 15 minutes and at the end a short but somewhat challenging climb.

The cost is 150 NIS per participant. The cost includes the training and lunch and a donation to the communities we will meet along the way.
